Doctors! Doctors! Play!

Patient: “Doctor, I get heartburn every time I eat birthday cake.” Doctor: “Next time, take off the candles.”

Good golly Miss Molly… We are off to see the doctors today and tomorrow.  Wow, two doctors a day keeps the apples away…because one does not have time to go to the market!

So, Doctor #1, Dr. Rayhaun,  was the neurologist and his assessment was that the aneurysm needs to be fixed but no urgency.  We asked if after the first of the year would be OK and the answer was “Yes”! We got more information about the procedure and it looks pretty easy although a stay in the hospital over night is required to make sure all is well after the procedure,

We decided to go to lunch at CPK and that was perfect.  Arriving at 11:00 AM, we were the only ones there so service was very fast and we were home by 12:15 AM.

I tried the Szechwan Chicken Dumplings and they were outstanding.  The Chinese dumplings were topped with fresh cilantro, sesame seeds and scallions. Served with our soy-ginger chili sauce. Amazing and only about 400 calories.

Loced the taste and texture

We ran by home for a few minutes before going to Doctor #2, Dr. Glassberg, who is a plastic surgeon.  He did my hand a few months back and did an excellent job…I can hardly see the scar.  This time is was on the face.  He did the cut and removed the cancerous area in one cut.  The procedure calls for the cut to be made then the materials is sent to a realtime lab on premises to make sure the margins are clean.  If they were not clean, another cut and lab would be run!

Good sided slice… about 12 stitches.  The powdery
stuff on the face is the cleaning materials

The procedure took about 90 minutes to perform and except for the first few pin-pricks, the procedure was painless.  Doctor Glassberg does an excellent job and also explains things very well…first class doc!

All sealed up!

We returned home and decided to have a drink at Old Ranch before te Christmas Play.  We ran into the Cathey’s and Walker’s and Mizer’..a good visit.

Off to La Mirada to visit the theater and see Alex’s Christmas Play.  It was quite good this year.  We laughed, giggled, cried, and said a few prayers!  It’s so nice to be with family and extended family at this time of the year!

Alex had a solo part…He was super!

We returned home and watched a Christmas movie about doggies…doesn’t get better than that!

Summary: When spoiled, 21-year old college student Luce Lockhart is forced to take a job over the holidays walking a rich developer’s dog, she is thrilled to discover they are going to build a salon and spa over the quaint local dog park nearby. But when Luce meets Dean, an irritating yet handsome dogwalker actively trying to stop them, Luce is forced to question what the park means to her newfound friends, and whether she can put aside her selfish ways to help save the park before Christmas.

We watched a little more TV, had our tookies, and crashed at 11:30 PM!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
