Indeed” A graduation ceremony is an event where the commencement speaker tells thousands of students dressed in identical caps and gowns that ‘individuality’ is the key to success
Busier than normal indeed. We arose at 5:00 AM to get ready to depart for Ontario at 7:00 Am to make an 8:00 AM entrance into the 9:00 AM graduation! Who? Robin gets her degree in Cyber Security from University of Phoenix. Many years coming but she did it. The moment has arrived!!
Snatch and grab…. do NOT let go! You have worked too hard for this moment!
You can’t stop her now!
People probably do not realize that working full time, caring for a family, raising a young man, and taking care of some serious family matters (her sister) is so time consuming and then adding on top of that going to school and studying making THE HONORS LIST is quite a feat!
Random Memories: My father never went to school beyond the 6th grade although you would never know it by his knowledge of the world! He was not comfortable around colleges and it was all Mom could do to get him to go to my graduation from USC…perhaps it was the pomp and circumstance?
I recently found an old color slide of my father at USC the day I graduated and he was in a suit and had a big smile. It was a proud moment for me and probably for Dad also!
Time to eat and drink! We know Panda Inn quite well as we have been going to it in Cerritos for years and years!
We dined and shared with the Duda’s and Musty’s (friend from work) and enjoyed ourselves!
After dining at the Panda Inn in Ontario we headed for home. What an experience. Inside the restaurant it was a nice 72 degrees but at the parking lot 20 feet away is was 104 and climbing! In the car we hopped, quickly I might add. Air conditioner when to “freeze dry” mode! Off we go for the 60 minute ride home!
We watched an episode of NCIS, we have only three to go to finish last season! The, we are off again to the hospital to visit our grand kids and new great grandson, Remington!
We spent over an hour with the kids just talking and sharing. Becca may get a chance to go home tomorrow. She would like to sleep in her own bed…we know that feeling!
Diapers? Zack? Yes…he did it without a hitch! He, and Becca, are amazing young people!
OK…The clock says “Ogle Time”…Great Grandma Sue is johnny-on-the-spot (a person who is at hand whenever needed.) to begin the process!
When Becca’s sister came in, we decided to leave and let them visit for a while. We drove north to Trask in Garden Grove and joined in the dancing and dining at the Elks Lodge with the gang…of course with our newly acquired pictures.
This was a good day…daughter graduates…great grandson is doing well…grandkids are doing fantastic…and it was Marsha’s birthday!
