Friday Has Arrived

?:*´¨`*twinkle twinkle little star…point me to the nearest bar *´¨`*:.? HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

It’s almost a normal day except for the fact I did not walk…I decided to stay home and do some chores before we have to go out dancing this evening.

First things first…I got my Legacy Box pictures organized and am sending them off on Monday to get saved digitally. I found 75 old Kodachrome slides, some dating back to the 1950’s and in great condition so off they go!

Did You Know? Kodachrome was introduced 1935 and discontinued in 2009. Kodachrome is a brand name for a non-substantive, color reversal film introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1935.  It was one of the first successful color materials and was used for both cinematography and still photography. For many years Kodachrome was widely used for professional color photography, especially for images intended for publication in print media. Because of its complex processing requirements, the film was sold process-paid in the United States until 1954 when a legal ruling prohibited this. Elsewhere, this arrangement continued.

Due to the growth and popularity of alternative photographic materials, its complex processing requirements, and the widespread transition to digital photography, Kodachrome lost market share. Its manufacture was discontinued in 2009, and processing ended in December 2010.

We bought a ton of this film over the years!

The remains of the front yard corn and tomatoes had to go so I stuffed them into a pair of 100 gallon containers.  The contents AND the containers go tomorrow as we expect new containers to be delivered.

We decided to go to the Panda Inn for lunch and then came home to await departure to the GG Elks to dance.

We stayed until about 9:30 PM as we have to be up at 5:45 AM in order to get to Ontario by 8:00 AM and partake in the graduation.  Our daughter, Robin, is getting her degree in Information Security/Forensics…it’s a mouthful but a lucrative business!
