What Were We Doing Thirty Years Ago Today?

We be!

We were married 30 years ago today!  We first met in 1973 at Rockwell when both of us were married to others.  We talked one time in 1974 when Paul had his guys put locks on the back of the computer consoles to keep the programming staff from re configuring the equipment in the evenings! Paul was the “bad guy”.

Ratchet forward to 1984 and we meet again working on a join project called Space Station.  We were both available and fell deeply in love marrying in 1988.  It’s been an amazing journey!

Paul went walkabout for an hour enjoying the Spring displays of beauty.

To Paul jiggled the walk a bit to cover streets we hasn’t walked down recently

Stop!  All of a sudden this “whatchacallit” plant was right in my path… Had to get his picture, its OK, he signed a release… Kinda seedy of Paul we think!

Standing right up front wanting its picture to be taken!

While we were going to go to Catalina, which is our tradition, the recent storms kept the sea churned up enough that we didn’t want to ride the boat with Sue’s back being so sensitive to motion.  We stayed around the house and enjoyed each others company!

Paul worked on the garden… It’s almost ready to be seen by real people!  Paul planted the first crop of corn and he mixed yellow and white together like last year.

In a few weeks, it will be as high as an elephants eye!

We have 15 kinds of tomatoes, onions, carrots, zucchini, squash, jalapeno peppers, peas, bell peppers, grapes, egg plant, strawberries, boysenberries, raspberries, and blackberries plus ten pots of blueberries all underway!

90% planted for summer

We did decide to go to the GG Elks for dinner/dancing but we didn’t dance nor eat dinner. We visited friends.  It was great to see Marcia there with Leon after the accident. She looked great!  We departed at 9:00 PM and headed home to watch some more of Grey’s Anatomy before crashing at midnight.

It was a great day!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
