Sunday Was Cold But Beautiful

The truth and only the truth

What a beautiful but cold day!  We continued our hallway closet adventures finding our old dishes we bought when first married.  Paul got them out, washed them, and they are now going to be used again!  They are pretty and bring back a lot of memories.

“Let’s take a drive!” says Sue.  Cabin fever is rampant.  We drove down to Sears to see what was on sale since the store was closing our.  The line as the register was a mile long so PAul decided NOT to buy anything. We went to the 55 freeway afterwords and took a right-hand turn heanding north on PCH. The beach drive is always pretty.  We decided the Himalayan Grill was a good place to stop for lunch!  Glad we did as it was terrific, as usual! When we go there, we take home enough food for three more meals!  We brought our own wine so the meal was $39 meaning we can eat on $10/day for the rest of the week!

Our normal selection of dishes plus a Chinese-Indian fried Rice selection

In the afternoon it was COLD so Paul decided it was time to brave the weather, put on a jacket, and head for the great out-of-doors.  He lasted only about 45 minutes before it was too cold.  Back inside and we watched some more TV.

We skipped dinner until about 8:00 PM and finally opened up a bean and cheese burrito and made a meal!  At 10:00 PM we crashed!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
