We stayed home today and just “rested”. Paul looked at the weather and decided to work inside until afternoon as it was cold! 37 degrees when we got up! We had “Egg McMuffins” made from English muffins and eggs plus cheese. We bought “egg rings” many years ago and used them again today.
Did You Know? Cooking rings are rings varying in size from about 7 cm to 9 cm in diameter (2¾” to 3½”). They are commonly made from a non-stick, heat-resistant material such as silicone rubber, Teflon coated metals or stainless steel. They are used to prevent food from spreading whilst being cooked, e.g. crumpets, layered vegetables, rosti, eggs, mousses and desserts for example.
We worked in the hall closet and found some boxes of brand new bowls, two heating blankets and some towels to be used for the garage.
After lunch, Paul headed for the front yard and finished off the plum tree. The parkway was solid adobe so Paul dug in a couple of bags of soil amendment into the base of the fruit trees. Hard work but well worth it as water soaks in nicely now. As the sun started getting lower in the sky the temperature lowered and Paul stiffened up! Time to go inside.
We watched some Grey’s Anatomy in the late afternoon and then dug into left-overs for dinner. After dinner, a little more TV and we crashed at 10:30 PM.
