We did some chores around the house until 1:30 PM and then we headed to our eye doctor for our yearly checkup. The chores involved the laundry and the garden… We work as a team to get everyting done so we can get moving on our daily activities.
Our eyes are in great condition for the age we are… Paul’s eyes were both 20/20 meaning seeing what an average person should see at 20 feet from the object…. At 20 feet, a human eye with that performance is able to separate contours that are approximately 1.75 mm apart. Yes, indeed, that’s all it means…. Not too scientific. Paul was surprised to find that in Europe, your eyes are good if they are 6/6… Metric, natch!
We went VFR to Malarkey’s after 90 minutes in the eye doctors office. We awaited the arrival of Greg and he was right on time with his father, David.
David is amazing. He is 93 years old and ate an entire filet mignon, mashed potatoes, green salad and two martinis!
The man is a walking miracle! We laughed and giggled for a couple of hours. We enjoyed the boats going back and forth and began to plan our next trip of the Water Taxi.
We texted with Jon and Sarah while everything was going on. It is hot (78+), rainy, and 80% humidity in New Hampshire… Good place to be from!
We headed home and watched Columbo and Blue Bloods plus some Frazier before crashing for the evening.
