We were lazy in the morning so we could be busy in the evening! Sue did the treadmill and Paul did some odd jobs around the house. We went to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts and saw “Champagne Music Makers” at 3:00.
It’s a reunion of The Lawrence Welk alumni club! The all-star show features the iconic variety television show’s regulars, including Ralna English, who thrilled fans with duet partner Guy Hovis. The lineup also includes tap dancer Arthur Duncan, dance team Bobby and Elaine, singer-dancer Mary Lou Metzger, and singer-songwriter Gail Farrell. The Champagne Music Makers Orchestra provides musical accompaniment.
Fantastic walk down memory lane!
As soon as it was over, we raced to Santa Ana Elks and joined in on the Jam Session dancing until about 10:00 before coming home and watching a bit of the telly before crashing.
