What To Do! Ah Ha… Go To LA

We went to the Farmers Market in LA and dined at Monsieur Marcel’s which translates to FONDUE!  It was fantastic on a cold winter day!  Paul selected the escargots as an appetizer.  The garlic butter sauce was wonderful!

We shared the ratatouille which was simply fantastic!

We had five different kinds of cheese in the fondue and various items to dip into the fondue!  The apples were not our favorite but the potatoes made a real hit!

We drove the six blocks to the Petersen Automotive Museum and spend two hours walking around and seeing the display!  Paul really wants a Duesenberg but alas, it was more than $1,000!

Bye Bye Farmers Market... See you soon!

After dining, we went to the Petersen Car Museum as it is now opened again after an extensive remodel!  It was fun to meander around and visit all the oldies!

We went home and freshened up and then went to The Claim Jumper to meet up with Amy, Joe and the boys!  They took us out to celebrate Paul’s birthday and the 16th hits right in the middle of preparing for Christmas and everyone was busy!  We, as usual, had a great time.

Amy and Joe shared their desert camping experience and we got to hear about Charlie and Alex’s quad adventures. Joe and Paul shared many memories going back almost 40 years when we used to go ride the dune buggies all over the desert!

Great fun and great memories.  We are fortunate to have very caring and wonderful kids  including Robin, Michele, Jeanette, and Colleen!

On our way home we decided to go by Patty’s Place and have a nightcap nefore going home.  We wanted to wish Patty and the staff a Happy New Year as we will be in another location tomorrow and will not see them!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
