A Sad Day…

We did chores around the house for a while before cleaning up and going to a “Celebration Of Life” for our friend Jim Mongell!  There were 200 people at the celebration held at the Phoenix Club.  He had a good run and we will certainly miss him!  On many occasions during the event I looked to the corner where Jim always hung out to visit him.

His daughter talked and mentioned thatshe and her dad went to make the final arrangements as Jim was sure his time was short.  They knocked on the door and she expected “Lurch” to answer.  Jim says to the gentlemen “Bet this is the first time you had a walk-in customer?”  That was indeed Jim!  The entire audience cracked up… We knew Jim well!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
