Easy Day… We Like These

We began the day with some work in the garden and got it prepared for the expected rain! We were supposed to have 1/2 inch by noon and ended up with 0.2 inches at 9:00 pm!  Oh well… It’s LA!

Paul went for a 3.5 mile walk and then we headed to Old Ranch to have a round of golf with Angie and James.  Rocky and Bullwinkle were behind us.

We got to see the first baby duck of the 2015 Old Ranch season!  The baby was cute and not afraid of us at all.  Sue walked right up and fed the little guy!  Mommy and daddy duck knew Grandma Sue from many feedings.

Hey! I am the first baby of the season and I am hungry

We got a text from Marianne and Craig who were visiting Lake Tahoe!  They were in the middle of a big snowstorm!

In the snow!

In the snow!

The weather was interesting as it started out with sunshine and ended up cold and threatening!  We had Happy Hour with the Walkers and Angie.  After Angie departed at 5:20, we moved inside with the Walkers and enjoyed the soup and salad special!  We went home and watched a movie (The American President) and Sue did the treadmill.  About 9:00 the rain came in and gave us 0.2 inches at best!

Rain rain please stay! We need all we can get!

Rain rain please stay! We need all we can get!  Our vegetable garden lapped it all up!

We got a text from James (in Seal Beach) reporting a lot of rain!  Looks like a cloud burst!

James had a load of rain!

James had a load of rain!

We watched NCIS and then crashed as we have golf tomorrow.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
