Every year, we make it a point to attend the performances of the Masters of Harmony. Their harmonies are so seamless, it’s as if they’re singing with a single voice! The Masters of Harmony is a men’s barbershop chorus comprised of 135 members. They are based in Santa Fe Springs, California, and were established in 1986 with only a handful of members. Under the guidance of Dr. Greg Lyne, the group has achieved great success and is now renowned in the music industry.
The Masters of Harmony began in 1985 as the Foothill Cities Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), and for the past 35 years,s we have been dedicated to the pursuit of musical excellence. Today, this musical ensemble is the performance and competition chorus of the Greater Los Angeles, California Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS).
The chorus specializes in close-harmony, four-part a cappella music. Its repertoire features Broadway, Pops, patriotic,ic and holiday selections arranged by some of the most talented musicians in the BHS. We are a fully auditioned chorus of amateur singers who love performing and entertaining. Our members come from all walks of life and range in age from 20 to 80.
Guests are welcome at our weekly rehearsals held at the La Mirada United Methodist Church.

And, as one of our coaches recently commented, “When the curtain opens, you can expect that a Masters performance will be classy, poised, confident, and honest.”
