We had the air cleaner replaced in our home early and then did all the invitations for Topper’s and Starlighter’s (we are secretaries/newsletter people for two of our four dance clubs) – about two hours of printing, stuffing, labeling, and stamping. We then headed to lunch at the Himalayan Grille in Sunset Beach. We were shocked with their new menu…. Two of our favorites were not on it but to our delight, the cook said…. “No Problem”, I can make it for you! Yeah!
We then headed to Rose Hills to make arrangements for Kat’s internment. Nothing fancy as we knew what Kat wanted…. Just to go home! We visited the grave site and visited with Edith and Claude Parchman, Jimmy and Opal Robinson, and Norman and Alma Mall (Paul’s three aunts and their husbands).
We have a picture taken when Dad (Paul Senior) had his 25th Anniversary with Ralph’s Five and Dime Stores…. His family all came to the dinner… It was a great affair. And who sit’s next to Paul David (me?), Kat of course.
It was so much relief to have my bride Sue with me then we went through all the internment paperwork … almost three hours … She checked and double checked, continued as ask how I was doing… When someone says a “saintly woman” they were looking at Sue.
We were pretty sad so we headed to Old Ranch for a drink and met up with JR & Karen… We swapped stories about our lost ones for several hours making us all feel better!
Finally we headed for home and watched a Hallmark movie before crashing around midnight….
