How can you tell that you’re getting old? You go to an antique auction, and three people bid on you!
Today is our last day of work! We decided to pull the plug! It was mostly because the company had just got to be an unhappy place to work. The lack of leadership and continuing waste wawereot what we had signed up for 40 years ago!
We enjoyed work until the last two years a,nd it started to take a toll on our lives. Working 60+ hours a week only to see the management abdicate their responsibility, turn the activities over to the crazies, and conform to every idiotic idea that floated down from the company on high was too much!
Retiring was the best thing we ever did. We will miss our friends but we want to go from workaholics to “funaholics” and we did that in a matter of minutes. Guess being married to your best friend makes that possible!
4:42 PM in the afternoon…be we gone! We decided not to do an elaborate ceremony, although many wanted us to. We just wanted to slip into the history of aerospace and live out lives our quietly!
