Sunday Was Relatively Quiet

We went to church and the sermon was from Hebrews… Great sermon today!

We arrived at the Elks Lodge at 1:00 just in time to dance

We then headed to the Elks in Newport Beach were we indulged in a cheeseburger and the house specialty!  We were met by Herbie and Irene and danced from about 1:00 until 4:35.  We then headed for Santa Ana Elks.  It is a mere 8.8 miles between the two lodges.

A hop, skip, and a jump!

We joined the Sunday late afternoon/evening Jam Session from 5:00 until 9:00. We sure missed the Roberts and the Finch’s but news from England says Brian and Jan will be back by Thanksgiving!  Yeah!

Gene and the guys played winderful dance music for hours on end....

By the time we got home, we watched a funnly little movie and then crashed.  Tomorrow is a big day!  The movie was “The Little Matchmakers“. It was a bit corny but out type of happy ending movie. Summary: It’s summer in San Diego. Lily (Hannah Frantz) and her mother, Diane (Jacleen Haber), are on vacation from New York City while Pepin (Julian Ortiz) and his father, Jose (Agustin Castaneda), from Mexico City are also on vacation. The kids meet at the beach and quickly discover they have a lot in common with each other even if they are from different places. Both are ten years old, both their parents are divorced, and both want their parents to be happy. Why not introduce their parents to each other in hopes that they will fall in love so everyone has the best summer ever? Despite Pepin & Lily’s grand plan, it’s not as easy as they think it will be. When they orchestrate the first encounter between their parents, much to their dismay, their parents can’t stand each other! With a bad start, how can these little matchmakers spark the magic that will make their mom & dad fall for each other? The quirky Officer Candy (Richard Hatch) & the bumbling waiter (Valente Rodriguez) offer assistance, but will it help their cause or hinder it? Two kids with a shared goal-can they really succeed at ‘matchmaking’?

Cute movie
