Our friend at Old Ranch was having a Quinceañera for her daughter and were were invited. Quinceañera (sometimes also called Fiesta Quinceañera, or simply quinces) is the celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday in parts of Latin America and elsewhere in communities of immigrants from Latin America. This birthday is celebrated differently from any other birthday, as it marks the transition from childhood to young womanhood. The celebration, however, varies significantly across countries, with celebrations in some countries taking on, for example, more religious overtones than in others. It was a very nice celebration and we enjoyed meeting new friends.
We left the reception as the music was a tad loud (ripples in my wine glass). We went VFR to Santa Ana and joined everyone at the Inauguration Ball
