The Week Endeth; The Weekend Beginith!

Robin joined us in the garden for coffee this morning.    We decided to get our TSA clearances (Global Entry) started, so Robin walked us through the process online.  We are both now awaiting their assessment.  We want to get ready for our traveling activities.

Robin is now known as “The Great Healer” because Mary’s mouse died after the power outage.  We gave up trying to bring the mouse back to life with no luck.  Robin stepped in, said a few incantations, did a double back flip, and soaked the mouse in a glass of Irish whiskey, and then the cursor whizzed across the screen at 500 inches per second, bounced several times, and blinked.  The mouse has returned.

Love those flowers, and they taste pretty good, also!

Too pretty to eat!

We put Mary’s Flower Tower to work!

We set the table on our new front yard patio, which was perfect since we had shade, sounds form the wind chimes, and a short walk to the kitchen.

Breakfast is served!

CKINK!  Toasting to the good life.

Breakfast in the front yard.

The day was perfect so Robin and Mary went picking in the garden; Robin came in with three bags of goodies.

A perfect day for working in the yard.

Dinner time, and we had green beans only hours old with butter.  Mary steamed them, and they were so tender.

If we can’t eat them fast enough, they may dry in the vine!  In that case, we cook the bean after removing it from the pod.  They are called  Shuck beans, dried green beans, a dish Castle said is known mostly in Appalachia and perhaps most well-known in Kentucky. To make them, one takes fresh green beans whole and dries them out. In some cases, beans are strung up using a needle and thread and left to dry out in an arid place.

The green beans were picked ours ago!

We heated up the Indian leftovers, and I enjoyed the salmon and veggies.  I love the onions and the Indian spices.

Indian salmon dinner.

MAy went for the steak form the OC Mining Company and the stuffed Zucchini!

From the garden!

We used the Swim Spa as we wanted a good night’s sleep.   We watched an action movie in the front TV Room, but Mary was out cold in fifteen minutes.  I lasted another hour but decided I was too tired to stay up.

When I got up, I had a burst of energy and decided to decorate the front of the house.  It took me four and a half minutes and voila; red, white, and blue decorations!

With the touch of a button in the phone, I can make them move in either direction.

The windows are red, white, and blue; they need some work before I will be happy

Easy decorating.
