We did one of our quick-trips to San Jose (Saratoga) where we stay overnight and visit with the Porters and then the next day to Stockton to have lunch with Aunt Kaye. It’s about 1000 miles in total. On the way up we stopped at Andersen’s Split Pea Soup… The restaurant is still great and I can remember being there as a kid with my folks when we went to Tracy. Glass of wine and a Ruben sandwich with a big bowl of soup…. Yeah! Life is good! Join the fun and on the Carri-Cam.
We visit all night! Dian, an excellent cook, fixed up a great dinner. We exchanged presents and then played a game of “Apples To Apples”.
At 9:30 the next morning we headed to Stockton and visited with Aunt Kaye. 88 and doing fantastic! She looks as if she is in her 60’s!
We pointed the Avalon home down Highway 99 and made it in seven hours. It was freezing going over the grapevine but the roads were clear. Home now and ready for golf!
