Fact: Humans Are Also the Only Animals Whose Brains Shrink! As we get older, our brains tend to shrink and can suffer from cognitive dysfunction like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. But as best researchers can tell, we are the only animals to whom this shrinkage happens. Tests on other animals have found no similar phenomena—even close evolutionary relatives like chimpanzees and rhesus monkeys.
We spent the day getting ready for the party tomorrow. Tom came over, and he did several handyman chores, which is difficult for me with sciatica going wild. We went shopping at Ralph’s for last-minute items such as ice! I felt like I should tease someone, so this is what I did!

We sat up the tables and cha in the afternoon, cleaned up the patio, and put candy and money in the plastic easter eggs. We tried to get the money clean, but after four different methods, we decided clean, bright money was not needed.

We got the tables and chairs ready to go and dusted them off. We can seat 25 quite easily!

The pool is 87 degrees, so that will be great should the weather turn cold!

Returning from Jan’s, we jumped into the pool and watched the moon go across the sky. We stayed in the water until about prune:thirty! I never had so many wrinkles in my entire life!
We watched a movie and then at midnight came “the knock.” The kids have arrived. Sarah and Jon put away their bags, and we gave them a quick tour of the house and the yard should they wake up before us. We wanted them to have an idea of where they were.
