Why do ghosts go on diets? So they can keep their ghoulish figures!
We were up at the crack of dawn if dawn is 7:00 AM! We had our cup of coffee and then back to work; things to do around the house. We hung some pictures and then made sure everything was ready for tomorrow’s rainstorm.
Mary fixed a delightful brunch that she calls an “Egg McMommy” Dang, it was good.
Eight more days to work, and then she is free as a bird!
At 11:00 AM, we watched our televangelist, and again the messages were good. There is indeed a Devil, and he comes to us in unique ways.
We walked Five Miles, and he enjoyed the excursion. On the walk, we met Pam, Jeff’s daughter. Jeff is a new friend and close neighbor. We made sure she knew we were keeping our eye on her Dad!
I dug out the fireplace hardware and was rudely made aware that the pan needs to be flush with the hearth. Dang, the bottom of the fireplace is five inches lower than the hearth! The new hearthstone was extra thick.
So I did the next best thing; I ordered the necessary bricks and lava rocks from Amazon! That way all I have to do is carry them in the house!
No fire tonight but that is OK we will probably have one tomorrow. Before we headed to the Elks for dinner dancing, we called a neighbor and asked if they wanted to come to dinner on Monday! We will put steaks on the BBQ and I am going to make an apple tart! Life is indeed good!
We enjoyed a glass of wine and then got ready for dancing and dinner with friends at the Elks. Mary and I love to dance, and we will celebrate until we close the place down. Do NOT get excited; it’s the Elks; we will be done at 8:00 PM.
Conrad was at the Elks tonight and we had not talked in several months. We usually talk once a month just to make sure we are both upright and breathing.
Beverly told us how much she enjoyed our party and that we wanted to meet up with our neighbors again! Ken was on a roll that evening.
Careful George!
The line dance started so out onto the floor we went.
As soon as we got there, I ordered a drink. Guess what it was?
Then we headed home and watched a movie. I only got through about five minutes of Goosebumps before I was out like a light! Tomorrow I plan to watch it last in the afternoon so I can finally see it.
