A Got To Wake Up The Roosters

What do you call a rooster who’s abusive to his kids? An egg beater!

My alarm on the iPhone and on Alexa went off at 4:45 AM to get ready to pick up Irene at her place in Long Beach at 6:00 AM and take her for a procedure at Long Beach Memorial.

Irene was ready to go, so I dropped her off and went back to my place where I watered the garden and did some chores around the house.

Something to ponder!

Mary and I talked on the phone and we did decide not to buy the house of our dreams as the foundation issues were far to complex to deal with, especially at our age.

At 10:00 AM I returned to the hospital and picked up Irene and took her home.  By 11:00 AM I was on my way to Mary’s for the remainder of the day.  Mary did some errands and we met up about noon and had lunch at Rockwell’s before our planned dance lesson with Jan.

We saw another house which was very nice but it was across the street from an elementary school, a bad idea as the traffic would be awful!

On our way, Jan called and alerted us she had a cold and was bowing out so we returned to Mary’s and had dinner.  We then watched a John Wayne movie, Chisum.  Joe liked the creamed corn from Summit House so when we left to go home from his birthday, Mary found their receipe for the creamed corn.

Mary can make the best deviled eggs and everytime they are different.

…and deviled eggs.

By the time we were done, it was late.

We had a delightful dinner and crashed.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
