Out And About!

You know you’re getting old when you have more candles on your cake than friends at your birthday party.

The Silver Fox and I headed for MAry’s about 10:00 AM as we are going to have lunch with a mutual friend, Sandy.  We are going to try Lucille’s in Lake Forest.  I have been wanted a Mint Julep and Fried Green Tomatoes for a long time.

We departed MAry’s at 11:45  AM and traveled the 28-minute journey in 35 minutes; OK, I am slow!

Mary and I got ready and headed to Lucille’s meeting Sandy. We had a super time catching up on everything.  Sandy is moving from her house to a leisure world kind of facility; much easier to take care of.

Mary and I shared a three-rib platter and there was plenty of bones to go around!!

Miss Mary was ready for the beef ribs!

“Nothing you wear is more important than your smile.”

Sandy gave us a data dump on all her activities; she wants to get back to dancing!

We returned to Mary’s at which time decided I needed to check for light-leaks in my eyelids [Translation: I took a nap!]  Mary got everything ready for the trip to Chino where we met up with Bob and Donna at PF Changs.

We danced and danced and visited with “the gang” having a marvelous time.  Bob took a bunch of pictures and I cannot figure out why I look like an ol poop; except for the fact I am?

She always has such a beautiful smile and I look like I just ate a pickle!

We waltzed all night long and we are not mastering the Cowboy ChaCha.  Of all the called Cha Chas today the Cowboy Cha Cha (also known as the Traveling Cha Cha) is the most popular. It is a progressive dance or traveling dance going around the floor. It does take a little time to learn at 80 counts.

We do a different version than shown below but now we may try something new?

Dancing is a load of fun especially with Miss Mary who can follow anything I do!

Almost a smile!

The lighting in the studio is not great for pictures; next week and am going to bring the big camera with a flash because we will want to see all the green!

OK, I will show one tooth but that is all!

We departed  at about 930 PM for home and crashed.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
