Hello Weekend!

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

I love when candy canes are in mint condition.

Today I drove Mary to work as she had a half-day schedule and she had her office party at noon.

I went home and did some laundry and finished up cleaning the big closet.  I even foud a few more decorations to put up.

My car wash guy came by and did my cars plus Vicky’s.  When he departed, I moved the cars around a bit and too my surprise, my Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses were on the center console.  Amazing, I was pleased because I though I had lost them three weeks ago!

Mary called around 1:30 PM and was ready for pickup so I headed to her office.   I got the stretcher ready and checked the first-aid kit.  When I arrived, Miss Mary was outside sitting on the bench with all of her loot.  She made a killing.  I loaded the fan and was thankful I brought the small trailer.

We then went to the Huntington Beach Pier as we had ordered some frog whirly-gigs for the back yard.  I needed a drink so we stopped and bought a sandwich and two glasses of wine.  We took our chances and walked on the pier with wine but we were prepared to tell the police ossifers that Mary’s cup has full of apple juice and my was a specimen I was carrying for the good doctor.    The story would have held up if had not been laughing so hard!  We did not need to bend the truth as we were not accosted by the fuzz.

It was in the low 60s but our apple juice kept us warm!

From there we headed home but decided some ribs to go would be great.  Well, Jim, our bartender, who does not know a jigger from a jug kept us there for a good solid hour asking us to recant our recent adventures.  He suggested a thirty-minute weekly series on “The Adventures Of Mary & Paul”.  We laughed and told him of our recent adventures.  You know, that may be a good idea but we would need a R-rated channel!

Mary got ran over by a reindeer!

We got home about 6:00 PM and proceeded to watch TV and dinner went into the frigerator;  perhaps dinner tomorrow? We exhauster ourselves laughing with each other.

We crashed early as tomorrow is decoration day; Christmas goes up one way or another, after all, it is going to be the 10th!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
