Saturday Has Arrived!

Chinese kid was born before the due date. Parents named him Sudden Lee

We worry and pray for our country to return to our real values and not those of rabid liberal socialists represented by the once proud democratic party.

Time to blather! We got calls from our issue (don’t you just love legal talk?). Robin, Michele, Colleen, and Joe all called this morning. Using the bat phone, it was like being there with them! That time made for a great start to the day! It’s wonderful to have caring children. Thanks guys!

We had theater tickets to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Segerstrom but we knew Robin fell in love with Bob while watching that movie 18 years ago so we offered the tickets. They went and loved the performance.

Did You Know?  The story was originally inspired by Roald Dahl’s experience of chocolate companies during his schooldays. Cadbury would often send test packages to the schoolchildren in exchange for their opinions on the new products.[2] At that time (around the 1920s), Cadbury and Rowntree’s were England’s two largest chocolate makers and they each often tried to steal trade secrets by sending spies, posing as employees, into the other’s factory. Because of this, both companies became highly protective of their chocolate-making processes. It was a combination of this secrecy and the elaborate, often gigantic, machines in the factory that inspired Dahl to write the story.

Since we were going dancing and the show was out at 5:00 PM, we requested the pleasure of their company at Garden Grove Elks. Robin and Bob sat with our friends, who they know quite well, and we all had fun swapping stories! We all got a run down on the play and apparently it was quite well done. They had our seats which are G-12 & G-13…perfect for us! Close to the front so we can see everything without moving our heads and close to the center by only a few seats from the escape route to the bar.

We got there at 5:00 PM and the kids followed soon after…we had plenty of time to visit!

Robin and Bob headed for Disneyland as Robin wanted to pick up her lost pass. We are going to Star Wars Land with then on June 13th and she wanted to make sure she had her pass in hand!

After getting home, I checked the email and the electrons had been busy. We got a picture from last 4th of July with our friends enjoying our party at Old Ranch.

Alcala’s and Roses… Dear friends joining us for the celebration!

We are going to have a group again this year at Old Ranch to celebrate and enjoy each other!

Fun at the Ranch

Our great grandson has a birthday in New Hampshire and we got a boat load of pictures…almost like being there. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Calhan!

Daughter Colleen throws quite a shindig! Happy Birthday Calhan

It’s late…been a great day so it is tookie time and then time to crash!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
