Zip To Temecula!

I was sat with my wife while she sipped on her glass of wine, when she said, “I love you so much, you know. I don’t know how I could ever live without you.” I said, “Is that you or the wine talking?” She said, “It’s me talking to the wine.

We have not been to Temecula for over a year as we stopped drinking wine/alcohol but there comes a time to face our demons and we did…with the help of Bob and Donna. We departed our place at 9:30 AM picking them up at 10:00 AM and we all headed down the 91/15 in the Silver Ghost! OK, it’s a mini-van but at our age, it is our Silver Ghost.

We were quite enthused today1

We firs stopped at Europa and tasted/picked up. We renewed our membership after putting it on hold for a year.

The weather was perfect! at Europa

We get wise while shopping!!

Now it is lunch time so we went to Pinnacle at Falkner Winery…best place to dine in all of Temecula. Bob and I did their special burger (the bathroom scale will lie to me tomorrow morning) while the ladies did salads and cheese plates.

We shared brussel sprouts. They were officially called “Crispy Brussel Sprouts” which were described as “Sliced almonds, goat cheese crumbles, dried cranberries, fried egg, and a hibiscus drizzle”. Bob had to inform us that we does not like brussel sprouts as they gave him gas at which time I activated by iPhone app entitled iFart. For the rest of the afternoon, the app provided us with plenty of giggles!

Our favorite waitress remembered us after almost 18 month so we felt quite happy!

Simply great dining and best view in the valley
Bob felt bad after “The Great Brussel Sprout Episode” and decided to buy lunch!

From there we headed to South Coast Winery where we tasted and we rejoined their club just for the white wine and the champagne.

It was a short stop but good!

Donna took us to a new “old” place. It was called Keyways Winery last time we were there. Now it is Danza del Sol Winery. Delightful place! We tasted and then departed for home hoping to beat the traffic.

Perfect location off the beaten path

The traffic was bad for the first ten miles then it was wide open with us making to Donna and Bob’s place in less than an hour. When we arrived at their home, Irene notified us she was NOT going to be a Malarkey’s so we just headed home and enjoyed a leisurely evening watching TV.

Great day with wonderful freinds and with the assistance of iFart of the iPhone, we giggled and laughed all day!
