Thursday “It” Is And “It” Is Cold

It was so cold… I chipped a tooth on my soup.

OK, perhaps not as cold as the east coast but cold for California. It didn’t get to 60 degrees today! I headed for H&H Nursery early this morning to get some blueberries as several of our burnt up during the heat wave we had last year. I dug, turned soil, planted, and fertilized for about two hours but they all look pretty good right now!

We will have home grown blueberries in about 90 days!

As I headed for the yard, I spotted a shadow and our neighbor scrounger was out and about. We were surprised he was drinking out of the pool? Perhaps no one has bowls of water out anymore.

We had a visitor

We had lunch and again did bacon and eggs while Sue was adventurous and had more of her Indian delights. I have to return to the restaurant tomorrow as we forgot her cane when we departed the restaurant yesterday.

We watched a movie and then I took an hour nap before getting ready to go to the Phoenix Club. We danced until about 9:30 PM but the ballroom was so cold, we had to leave. The outside temperature was 44 degrees as we entered the car. Yes, I warmed it up before Sue arrived so it was toasty inside.

Random Memories:  The news keeps pushing their agenda of global warming…what a load of crap.   In another fifty years we will look back and laugh about how the liberals tried to pull off the global warming scam just to get control of our lives!

This winter reminds me of the 1950’s in Los Angeles when we had lots of rain for weeks on end and it was cold.  The old steam radiator heating system in my elementary school was turned up full blast just trying to keep the rooms bearable.  We could hear the water boilers in the basement of the school sounding like a steam locomotive!  We would go outside to play and the roofs would be covered in frost.  We would play running games just to keep warm…Tag, Red Rover, etc.  The ball games were out as the blamed balss were too hard form the cold!  This is nothing new…it is normal!  Yeah normal!

We watchd Eureka, a quirky science fiction series entering season #4. About 11:00 PM i whipped up some tookies and we crashed soon afterwords.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
