Saturday…Where Have You Been All This Week?

“Ah, Saturday… A day of rest… Rest of the laundry, rest of the house and rest of all the other stuff I put off on Friday!”

No big plans for today except to go to a musical and out to dance at the Starlighter’s Dance Club.  We decided to stay hone and eat as lunch is always $100 and home is always pleasant, better food, and cheaper!

Roy Clark passed this week and I was thinking about him and plucking his guitar…he had quite a talent.  I ran across him and Glenn Campbell, who passed last year, playing one of my favorite songs ever… Ghost Riders In The Sky!

An amazing and spooky sound

We mostly diddled around the house since we were going to leave at 1:00- PM for a 2:00 PM show.  Not enough time to get anything started!  It was our plan to come home after the show, change into our formal costumes and the run out to Yorba Linda.  We would have been “The Freeway Flyers!”. Plans change you know!

The musical was called “Waitress” at Seagerstron Center,  Frankly, by half time we could not figure out the story line and when half-time ended with the waitress being humped on an examination table by her gynecologist, we called it quits!  That was a waste of $182!

We had to read the plot in Wikipedia…Dr. Laura would not approve!

Nor for us!

The only bright side of the event was that is was so bad we departed at the break making us have time before the dance in Yorba Linda!  Disappointing!

So…into our formal wear and off like a shot to Yorba Linda Country Club…dressed to kill!  It was a great dance, we sat with the Zaitz, Roberts, and Kuhn’s making it both memorable and fun filled!

On the way, we called Bob Duda and wished him a happy 53rd!  He was working of all things at Pechanga beating one he drums and driving the kids mad!  While we do not understand his music, all of our younger friends say Bob is quite good…adn he must be as he works a lot!

I was with the most beautiful girl there!
Dashing couple if I don;t say so myself

Because of the rotator cuff issue, we did not dance but we got plenty of visiting in!  We departed close to 10:00 PM and headed home to watch some TV before crashing for the night.
