Labor Day…The End Of Summer As We Know It

Phooey!  I can’t exercise for long periods any more. It is embarassing! When I get back from a walk, Sue  usually asks if I’ve forgotten something.

Today is day 247  for this year!  If I can walk 2.7 miles per day for the next couple of months and considering I have already walked 690 miles, I have a great chance of walking 1000 miles by January 1st 2019!  750 miles by October 17th will be a cakewalk!

Well on my way to 1,000 miles this year!

It’s no wonder my knees are hurting a little bit!

Nothing exciting in the walk today except that I ran across two couples and each couple had four dogs they were walking…the first were Greyhounds and the second batch were Golden Retirevers!

We got hungry mid afternoon and went to Taco Surf in Los Alamitos, about four LONG blocks from out home, and had a great meal!

Good groceries!

After getting home we headed to Malarkey’s where we met up with Greg and David and then Jan and Brian followed by Irene… We done had a party!

The sun sets earlier and earlier these days

We partied hearty…laughs and giggles for all!

Slugging down the beer at 0.5%/bottle!

After heading home, we watched a movie, some NCIS, had our tookies, and crashed!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
