Thursday… Chores & Dancing

Truth! The reason grandchildren and grandparents get along so well is because they have a common “enemy”

We stayed at home today and did chores and ran errands.  We were still recovering from last night/this morning at the emergency room…takes a couple of days anymore!

Funny how owning a home means there is always something to be done around the house!  Paul worked in the shop for a while doing to strategic emptying of old boxes and gathering of hardware.

Seems that, over the past thirty years, whenever I need 1/4″ washers, I would go to the store and buy a box of then, usually 100 or 200 in a box,  so I would not run out again!  Well, now that the garage is getting organized and the shop is getting set up I ponder how in the hell I ever ended up with six boxes of 1/4″ washers…and multiples of other common usage items!  I have the world market cornered, single handily!

I have a little of everything!

I decided that I didn’t want this to happen any more but I had already gone through the baby food jar stage of my life so I went to Amazon and got a real organizer!

The advertisement said: Dividers keep contents organized – grid design on ABS lid keeps contents from shifting, can be divided in up to 17 compartments,  secure snap-fit latches lock the contents in place, built in handle for easy carry.  Well, I am here to tell you it is a first class product and in fact I bought two more of them!  Sue cannot believe that after 30 years, I am getting organized!

We had lunch and then watched TV until it was time to go to the Phoenix Club for dancing…we had a load of fun there as the Roberts and Zaitz joined us along with Nancy and Vince.

Grandson Connor was supposed to show but alas, we played second fiddle again…hey, we understand…who wants to hang with “old fuddy duddies”?

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
