Lilly Be Four!

“The greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising up every time we fall.” – Confucius, (551 – 479 BC) Chinese Philosopher

Paul was out and about doing the walk. Today’s target was Staples because Paul wanted to find out if he could print to the local store. Off he went in a cloud of dust, he forgot to take a bath this morning! Arriving at Staples, Paul was greeted by Mr. Printer and we figured out how to get things printed at the local store! Life is good.

Upon returning home, Paul headed to the Apple store and got a new 12″ iPad Pro because he is enjoying reading again and wanted something to take to bed and the little iPad mini was too small! Besides the Mini was getting old and showing its age!

Paul did some other chores while out and returned home about 2:00 PM at which tie we watched some TV and then headed to the showers. We went to Old Ranch and make our July 4th reservation and met up with our dear friend Charlotte! We visited until 5″15 at which time we headed north to La Habra and met up with the Lind’s for a birthday dinner at El Cholo!

Good food and GREAT company. We really appreciate the fact the “kids” seem to enjoy our company and they seem to want to talk about things. Perhaps it’s because they know we do not talk to others about private matters and that we are OLD (older than dirt) so we have been around the barn a few time!

All grown up!

We drove like mad and made it about 15 minutes late which was perfect because Zack was also held up in traffic!

Great Grandma Sue watches the goings on!

Sue had their famous green tamales which are only served May through October when the special green chilies are available.  Apparently they were delicious as she ate half the meal and took everything else home!

Time for the celebration… The candle must go on exactly right according to Lilly!

The candle gets placed exactly at the right spot!

Lookin’ good guys!

Tunnies are full!

After the visit and dinner, we headed for home and watched some TV before crashing.  We hit the sack at midnight!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
