Good Lord! We were infested with doctors today! We started out with Paul heading for the dermatologist at 6:15 AM..his doctors also likes early appointments! The doctor went wild with his freezing potion…Paul looks like he went to a paint ball festival. The doc did take two biopsies just to make sure…being a redhead is not easy!
After returning home via the lumberyard, we headed for a new doctor, a neurologist to get a better understanding of the liver issues and effects on the brain from this past years ailments.
Sue took a battery of tests passing them with smashing success! All is well but he did want a CT Scan to complete the exam so we are awaiting approval from insurance. We spent almost 90 minutes with Dr. Cohen before scurrying out the door and down the street to the heart doctor!
Did You KNow: A computerized tomography (CT) scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images, or slices, of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body. CT scan images provide more detailed information than plain X-rays do.
Next appointment was 10:30 AM and we got there about 20 minutes late but that was just fine! The heart doctor added new meds since Sue stopped all meds during the bout with ulcers. She takes these for a month and then returns to the doc and see how they went!
We had a few minutes so we stopped by home, ate a little lunch and then to the back doctor.
We told him the procedure of three weeks ago did not work so hs response was “We used a fluoroscope” which is one dimensional and apparently with your ones, we are going to have to redo the procedure but under MRI three dimensional guidance to get the pain killer into the proper spot”. Yep, we are planning another visit to the doctor! Good news and bad news but mostly good!
From there we went to the pharmacy and got all the new prescriptions. Enough docs today? Nope, we had to return to Dr. Cohen to complete the exam by getting the blood pressure and pick up some paperwork we left there!
Now, we get to go home and watch a few minutes of TV before heading out at 5:00 PM to Malarkey’s where we met up with Irene and the Rodeckers.
As Paul’s dear mother used to say, “You are moving faster than a fart on a hot griddle!”. We never knew what that meant but sounded right.
Home we head after a good day…busy, but good! A little TV and it’s night night time!
