Did You Know? “Passing the Buck” or “The Buck Stops Here” – Most men in the early west carried a jack knife made by the Buck knife company. When playing poker it was common to place one of these Buck knives in front of the dealer so that everyone knew who he was. When it was time for a new dealer the deck of cards and the Knife were given to the new dealer. If this person didn’t want to deal he would “pass the buck” to the next player. If that player accepted then “the buck stopped there”.
A beautiful day with only a slight threat of rain! It was, however, a bit on the cool side!
Paul started out the day with a request from Vicky… Amber, her beautiful daughter, had a great picture taken but in a room, let’s say, that was NOT great for sharing! Paul used his magic to do a background swap and volia, here she is!
So it is time for a walk now… An hour of discovery and looking at the hood to see if anything changed! Nope! All the same although the sun was in and out and when it was out, the flowers were magnificent!
Mother Nature is a wonderful designer! She makes dainty colorful arrangements that look almost good enough to eat!
The crown turned their heads toward the Sun as if to say “More! More!” Paul also heard the flowers say “Did you hear about the blonde that stayed up all night to see where the sun went? It finally dawned on her.”
Back home and another project underway. We have two really nice file cabinets and Paul needs a desk so he went to the store and purchased a 24×66 inch 1/2 inch glass to put atop the cabinets… Volia, a desk and bomb shelter at one time!
We were going to go to Malarkey’s but alas, Sue’s back and headache prevented us from going. We called Irene and did a “wave off” ( To dismiss or refuse something or someone by waving the hand or arm). We decided to watch TV and in fact skipped dinner and hit the sack before 10:00 PM! We did watch a lot of Grey’s Anatomy!
