To The Honda Dealer And “Dancing”

Paul was up and out of the house at 6:15 am to get in line at the Honda dealer for servicing the van.  It was a 50,000 mile service but only took about 90 minutes including changing the cabin air filter.  Paul brought the laptop and studied drywall patching.  He was several modification around the house he wants to make. You Tube has everything.

The next project is a sub-panel inisde the house to control the circuits to the bedrooms and bathrooms.  The goal is to get the computers on a separate circuit complete with surge protection!  It will take a couple of days but it will be fun and it keeps Paul busy on cold winter days!

We took a nap in the afternoon to get ready for the Rondeliers Dance Club!  We got all dressed up in our formal wear, jumped on the 605 for an hour trip to Altadena, walked in and found out the dance was rescheduled for NEXT WEEK.  We felt pretty dumb until we found out the band was also there this evening and went home!  Duh!

Oops! Check the date!

We did not want to get on the freeway again so we “sweet talked” the restaurant manager into letting us stay for a drink and a lite dinner (it is a private country club).  She said OK and we enjoyed a “date night”.  We ordered two glassed of wine… Both were very expensive but who cares, we are celebrating each other.

When the bill came, the restaurant manager “comped” the drinks as she waned us to feel good after the hour long freeway drive.  We called he over and explain that we ordered the “expensive stuff”… She had no problem with that!  We will write a letter to the management!

Enjoying our wine

After departing Altadena, we went to Patty’s Place in Seal Beach and had a nightcap.  Actually, Sue had wine and Paul did Club Soda!  We departed there at 11:00 PM and headed home to watch Friends.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
