It’s early in the morning (for us) and we are busy packing. We have done this trip so many times that it is easy! Paul cleans the car and leads it and we are off like a herd of turtles. Highway 99 here we come! It was a great day for a drive!
We decided Highway 99 was the way to go so we could see the progress on the “bullet train”.. As expected, NO PROGRESS, just a big hole in the ground in which to our money!
We visited with Aunt Kaye for a couple of hours before going to Lodi and the Wine & Roses hotel/report. The lounge always has live entertainment and tonight was no exception!
After doing nothing but sitting all day, Paul was hungry! (What’s new?) The appetizer menu had a small bratwurst listed so PAul tried it and it was excellent! Of courser, bratwurst means beer in German. We send photos to Hans and Kerstin.
A perfect way to end the day!
Did Yiou Know? Bratwurst (German: [?b?a?tv???st] (About this sound listen)) is a type of German sausage made from veal, beef, or most commonly pork. The name is derived from the Old High German Brätwurst, from brät-, finely chopped meat, and Wurst, sausage, although in modern German it is often associated with the verb braten, to pan fry or roast.
The grounds were decorated and the outside temperature was cold!
We headed to our room about 11:00 PM and crashed. Paul tried to watch TV but alas, the God Of Beer took him away. Tomorrow we visit, have lunch and drive another 400 miles home!
