Nothing major going on today so Paul worked in the garden for a while planting the rest of the herbs and spreading out the redwood bark. We planted water melon and hope we get some good plants this year!
Sue fixed a great lunch and we decided to walk on the pier at Seal Beach today while the cleaning folks were here. We walked for an hour and then headed to Cafe St. Germain just two blocks up Main Street.
Paul was a little hungry and ordered their Ham and Cheese on Custard Bread thinking it would be small… No way! It was huge and Paul managed to get it down along with a glass of wine! Does the word stuffed mean anything to you?
We then headed towards home and did an errand, we visited Ganault Lumber to pick up three rat traps. Them little buggers are on the roof and eating our tangerines. After tomorrow there will be zero. Peanut butter in the rat trap and ZOT, they are history.
It was only 4:30 PM so we decided to go to Old Ranch and have a glass of wine before going home! We visited with friends and watched the world go by! We departed about 6:00 PM and went home. We watched a Columbo, Monk the Detective, an NCIS New Orleans and then a Cheers before crashing!
Did You Know: Adrian Monk (Emmy®-winner Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department’s most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk becomes obsessive-compulsive.
His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds… even milk. Monk’s condition costs him his job, but he’s back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life.
These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer). Her less-than-subtle prodding keeps the “defective detective” on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force. Starring Tony Shalhoub and Bitty Schram.
