Foot No Better!

Sue woke up with the foot still hurting so we headed to the doctors office.  They took an x-ray and nothing was broken… Just a severe sprain!  The doc said “Stay off the foot for a couple of weeks”.  Great!  We be dancers!

OK, we headed home so Paul could fix Sue a gourmet lunch (Paul thought reheated pizza and left-over pasta was a gourmet meal).  We dined in style and sat most of the afternoon.

The shopping list for the market was getting critical so Paul volunteered to go to the market, ALONE!  That was exciting!

Paul learned his lesson – NEVER volunteer!

After returning and explaining why Paul could not find anything, we got ready to go out! Yes!  Sue had cabin fever so bad we had to do something so we headed to the Garden Grove Elks via the wheelchair and back door!

Obviously we did not dance although Paul did dance with a Philippino lady who we have known for years… It appeared to be fun but he came back looking for oxygen!

What do we do if we do not dance… Share with friends!  We were there for four hours and not bored a bit.  With the Branders, Margot and Pat, the Zaitz, and the Finch’s were just laughed and giggled all night long!  We are indeed blessed.

Sue & Brian carried on a long conversation!

We stayed until about 10:15 PM and then headed home as the foot was throbbing.  On with the TV and we watched an NCIS and an episode of Cheers before crashing.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
