April Fools Day But We Were Not Fooled!

We worked around the house this morning.  Paul did some rewiring in the garage removing some old circuitry that has been there for thirty years and was severely out of code!  Paul also planted some patty-pan and crook-neck squash.  Sue did the bills and other chores.  We got all gussied up and headed to Mimi’s Cafe in Cerritos at 5:00 PM to meet with the Rodecker’s for dinner before the show.

What show you ask?  We went to see Art Garfunkle and he was terrific.  Sue was transported back forty musical years and Paul just remembered the major hits. The show was terrific!

Did You Know? Arthur Ira “Art” Garfunkel (born November 5, 1941) is an American singer, poet and actor. He is best known for his partnership in his earlier years with Paul Simon in the folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel.

Highlights of his solo music career include a top 10 hit, three top 20 hits, six top 40 hits, 14 Adult Contemporary top 30 singles, five Adult Contemporary number ones, two UK number ones and a People’s Choice Award. Through his solo and collaborative work, Garfunkel has earned six Grammys, including the Lifetime Achievement Award.[1] In 1990, he and Simon were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Funny… They did not have CD’s when he first performed!

After the show we headed home and watched a movie and another episode of Cheers.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
