Sad Day

We were notified today, via Facebook, that Sharon Leslie Finch passed this morning from a head injury suffered when she fell Sunday afternoon.  Her niece reported that she passed peacefully. While Paul has not seen her in perhaps 55 years, she was a memorable person in High School.  She still lived near the school and was good friends with Joel Prell.  Joel and Paul go back to 1948.

1944-2017

She was a beautiful girl and was always nice even to the nerds like Paul!

At the beach circa 1962

Enough of the sad… We need to cheer up and keep her in our memories.

Today you ask?  Chores around the house as that is a never ending story!  We went to Sue’s doctor  about 10:00 PM and then returned home for lunch and the treadmill. The doctor’s news was all good!  She is as healthy as a horse!

We went to Seal Beach around 3:00 PM and went to the Temecula Oil Company and got some of their seasoned hot salt!  It is a  wonderful product.  We were going to stop by “My Italian Kitchen” but power was out and the doors were locked.  Edison was replacing termite eaten poles and several of the businesses had no power.  In fact, the Temecula Oil Company had all electric off so it was lucky that the sun was low in the sky so we could see around!

OK, we had Plan-B in place.  To Malarkey’s a little early!  We met up with Luisa and Irene. The sunset was OK but the wine was better!  Malarkey’s is getting decorated for Easter and the flowers were pretty.

The flowers were magnificent

They looked so perfect that they could have been plastic… They were not!

Dressed up the entire restaurant

Luisa was looking at her wine and Paul said take the picture through the glass (Paul’s glass was already “dirty”)

Wine In The Sun

The sun went down as we enjoyed a nice meal.  Paul did the chipino (fish soup) and Luisa did the special

Down went the sun

Irene and Luisa have hit it off!  It’s nice to put people together!

Friends Irene and Luisa

About 7:30 PM we headed for home to do the treadmill and watch a Hallmark Mystery Movie before crashing.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
