We Made Tomato Sauce Again! Third Time

We decided earlier that we would make another batch of tomatoe sauce as the garden is about done in terms of beefsteak-type tomatoes.

Paul went harvesting about 8:30 and then we prepared the kitchen for the “mess”.  Actually, we are getting so good at it, there was no mess.  Just four quarts of VERY think tomato sauce at the end of several hours! Our first planting of tomatoes are about done and we may not do a second planting because we got so much out of the first!

We have 120 corn plants underway and the two groups of 60 are about 4 weeks apart so we ought have corn for a long time.

The two planters of corn are doing well. They are about four weeks apart.

Paul did some serious gardening as he removed three tomato plants, transplanted four sets of onion plants, planted potatoes, trimmed the asparagus, and weeded the corn patch.

All the hard work paid off as it revealed our asparagus plants in production!

Several tomato plants were "ka-poot" so Paul removed them revealing asparagus!

Every morning we get 2-4 spears which is perfect for us!

We got cleaned up and took our “Chocolate Martini Kit” to That’s Amore to show the bartender and owner what a chocolate martini ought to taste like!

They liked it!

They liked it!

We then headed for home and watched some Star Trek.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
