Normal “Kinda” Thursday!

Estimated reading time: 1 minute

We were up pretty early and began packing using the front guest room!  I put together the roll-around clothes hanger from Amazon, and it is working out very well!

We can see what we plan to pack without having to go through a pile on the bed!  We can even organize it by the day!

We got ready to go to the Elks around 11:00 am and headed to the Lodge at 11:15 am.  The place was empty; there were no meetings, and only two other tables had people in them throughout the entire room.  The quiet was refreshing.

After a great lunch, we headed home to continue packing.  We are probably 40% complete.  The roll-around made the job easier; we could see what we were bringing.

The roll-around rack did NOT solve all the packing problems for Mary!

Tomorrow is Friday, and it’s time to get serious!  I have my paper sack filled, and Mary has her three steamer trunks, four suitcases, and five garment bags almost ready to go!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.

Hey Paul and Mary. I stumbled on your page randomly while trying to find a list of soda brands for a graphic design project. I read through your story and I must say you have truly lived your life to the fullest. Your positivity and warmth is bleeding from every line of text. Keep doing you and have a good day!

Those were very kind words Max. We try to live up to my father’s favorite saying, “Do on to others as you want to be done upon!” We just enjoy life and don’t sweat the small stuff. Have a great day! PS We keep an online “Daily Diary” at http://lilesnet.com/dailydiary/
