Where Did The Week Go?

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

At our age we stomp through the rain; running is too dangerous!

At 7:30 am we peeked out the bedroom window and it was WET.  A very light rain had fallen since around 3:30 am when Scout was last seen inside the house.

This morning, we had an appointment to get our hair cut, so I watched the news while Mary took her shower. OMG, I cannot believe the Dummocrats are acting like absolute flaming idiots. Their leadership is jumping up and down with silly signs supporting precisely what the American public voted for: eliminating waste! It’s funny to watch them self-destruct!

The headlines this morning: “The State of California and its public school athletics association has indicated it will not fall in line with President Donald Trump’s latest executive order to keep trans athletes out of girls’ and women’s sports.   How wonderful for California to continue ruining girls’ sports with these ridiculous policies; OMG!

We drove to Huntington Beach to get our hair done, because nothing screams “I’m ready for an adventure” like making sure our hair looks fabulous for the upcoming trip! I mean, who knows? We could get caught in a sudden photoshoot with a seagull, and I can’t be out there with hair that looks like it just survived a tornado!

From there, we went directly home, and Mary rested. Mid-afternoon, I fixed some Jasmin rice and put a couple of beef stew scoops on the rice bed. I added a small bowl of peach halves, and we had a late lunch or early dinner!

Robin came over after work, and we spent a couple of hours visiting. Plus, we called Colleen and checked in with her.

After visiting Robin, Mary rested and watched TV, and I worked in the office getting ready for Jon and Sarah!  We crashed around 9:30 pm.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
