Off And Running!

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

We were up before the local roosters this morning.  We have an appointment to get cut up at 8:10 am in Long Beach.  We got to our destination super early, so we hit up Micky D’s and indulged in an egg McMuffin goodness. It’s never too early for a burger, right?! Then it was off to the doctor, where the doctor waited at the front door with a scalpel in hand.

Here I am to save the day!!

One hour later, I was a half-pound lighter, and I had a new bandage —I think it was a Sponge Bob Square Pants bandage.

Ouch!!

After the operation, we went to see my GP doctor to get the results of my annual physical. He summarized it by saying that although my body is obviously (?) that of an 80-year-old, the laboratory test results indicate I have the body of a 50-year-old, and my mind is that of a 12-year-old. I got an A-OK.  Mary signed the report card immediately.  Mary was very happy with the results, especially the liver test!

We overheard a conversation in the waiting room: “Doctor: Nurse, how is that little girl doing who swallowed ten quarters last night?  Nurse: No change yet.”

My partner in crime was with me the entire time!

We decided to have lunch at Old Ranch, so we contacted Charlotte and met her there at 12:30 pm. She had just finished a round of golf and was delighted to see us. We chatted for a long time. And as usual, Charlotte managed to fit in at least 20 stories about her golf game before we even got our food. It was like a play-by-play commentary of her golfing adventure, complete with dramatic reenactments of her best shots!

Charlotte may be going to Denmark soon as her father is on failing health.  She is an amazing lady!

We made a date for Friday night at the ranch to have dinner on the patio with music and dancing.  Dianne will be joining us along with Charlotte!

We shared for an hour and a half!  We caught up on everyone.

The ranch had some new waiters, so we got to experience some surprises. Let’s just say we received a lot of “unintentional acrobatics” with our meals!.

We taught him a thing or two!

On the way out, Mary stopped to prepare for the drive home, and Charlotte asked for my camera.  She saw something related to me and wanted to get a picture!

Charlotte wanted a picture of me to remember me by!  (Two horses pa-toots)

Upon arriving home, Juan was here waiting for us.  We have all the fleet washed.  Precious and The Grey Ghost just got a wash, and he detailed the Silver Fox; it looked pretty rough.  The upholstery was cleaned, and every inch was made spotless, even the trunk!  He has been doing my fleet for almost six years now; he’s a good guy!

We fixed some goodies to dine on while the “debate” was going on.  We departed for Jeff’s house with a supply of wine and plenty of food.

The debate was pretty sad, with ABC being the big losers. Was it slightly biased and “fact-checking” as they went? Camela was undoubtedly prepared, although her lies were blatant. Unfortunately, the liberals will nod their heads. Trump allowed Camela to get under his skin a couple of times. Based on the sad situation this country is in, I am going with Trump because he is a known quantity.    Camela failed at the border and had a rating of the most “progressive” senator of all, plus they destroyed San Francisco!

We appreciated his assertion that the individuals speaking negatively about him were the ones he had dismissed. There is a clear need for more government employees to be let go due to their incompetence and lack of productivity.

Dianne called and she finally got the “Pink Ladies” jacket we sent three months ago!

Lookin’ good; she is ready for the next 1950s dance!

We didn’t swim this evening, but we crashed early.
