Golf,Movie,Dinner,Movie.. Confusing!

We played 18 holes and Bunnaford joined us at the turn.  We had a quick glass of wine before heading to the Four Star Cinema (four blocks from Old Ranch) where we saw the new “True Grit” for an amazing $4.00 each!  Bunnaford joined James and Linda Cathey foe the activity.  In summary Following the murder of her father by hired hand Tom Chaney, 14-year-old farm girl Mattie Ross sets out to capture the killer. To aid her, she hires the toughest U.S. marshal she can find, a man with “true grit,” Reuben J. “Rooster” Cogburn. Mattie insists on accompanying Cogburn, whose drinking, sloth, and generally reprobate character do not augment her faith in him. Against his wishes, she joins him in his trek into the Indian Nations in search of Chaney. They are joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes. The unlikely trio find danger and surprises on the journey, and each has his or her “grit” tested.

Excellent remake and it did not dishonor John Wayne for us!

Afterwords we headed for Preveza for a delightful dinner full of teasing and chit-chat with James and Linda.  Bunnaford headed for home.

After getting home, we watched NCIS and NCIS LA…  Life is better than good!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
