Wow On The First Nine

What a day!  Paul was at 41 going into the ninth hole… could not miss and then the God of Golf found out and he planted two into the H2O!  Ended up with a 48! Poo!  The rest of the day was “OK”   We had our own happy hour and then rested the rest of the evening.  We watched movies including…

“Hachi, A Dog’s Tale” was a tear jerker for sure. Summary: A drama based on the true story of a college professor’s bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home. An American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.

A tear jerker but very much like our babies

We then saw an excellent repeat entitled “Wild Hearts” which is a July 2006 Hallmark TV movie. Summary: A widowed Los Angeles police detective inherits his family mustang ranch in Montana and returns with his reluctant daughter. He takes a job as sheriff and soon must contend with a series of events that cause him to come to terms with his past.  But all is well as the daughter falls in love, loves the ranch, and is a natural animal lover.

Great fell-good movie

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
