We were up again at oh-dark-thirty as we had to be in Tustin at 9:00 am to drop off The Silver Fox. He was getting his 35,000-mile checkup, plus he was due for a new set of tires.
Our handyman came over at 10:30 am, and we finished putting up the LEDIC lights across the front of the house. Finally, I can control the lights remotely, including making a dazzling array of light shows. Tonight it will be a simple purple to honor Easter.
We went to work in the garden from 11:00 am until about 3:00 pm, when we stopped and visited Jan with some leftovers from last night! We are hoping for a good review of Mary’s creation and my beef stew. Mary continued her mulching activities while I worked on the drip system.
After the visit, we went to Alberton’s Market, as they often have our favorite brand of turkey bacon. We got all sorts of stuff filling the trunk of The Silver Fox! While at the market, we found and picked up a Pierogi!
We bought 400 pounds so Chef Perogi (AKA Bob Duda) will not run out!
We had Mary’s creation plus my beef stew for dinner along with a salad form the garden and a freshly baked dinner roll with Irish butter; a meal fit for a king!
