The vegetable garden is on hold; a dog bit our contractor! No kidding, Gary texted this AM with the report a Boxer got him in the ankle, and it got infected. Gary is OOC for three days! Damn, just when progress was being made!
The insulation folks showed up at 8:30 AM, right on time. Mary assisted me in removing about 200 feet of unused cable (old TV twin-lead, old alarm system cables, and old telephone cables. She kept me from having to go in and out of the attic many times! She also got an assortment of tools I needed, including steel wire.
The crew showed up and worked a few more hours prepping the attic; they placed boxes over the lamps to ensure they would not overheat. The job was nicely done; Home Depot, you are our hero!
Mid-morning, we got a text from the kids; they were boarding their ship to Alaska! We miss them and plan to call Nick to see if we can take him out while they are gone.
Did you hear about the red cruise ship and the blue cruise ship that crashed into each other at sea? All the survivors were marooned.
Around 1:00 PM, it got quiet, but we saw the big hose moving; the insulation was blown in, and it was done quietly almost dead silence! I can feel the house get cooler already!
Thanks to Joe, the verticle walls are well insulated! The heat in the attic is drawn out because of the fans Joe installed last year. He is so cool!
Mary and Robin are planning a Tea Party with family and friends at the Elks, and the theme is “Space.” Mary went all out, and today her helmet arrived! She is soo spacey!
We skipped dinner and headed for the patio to enjoy a lovely evening without all the heat! We crashed at 9:00 PM.
