We Get A Visitor Today! Yeah!

Fact: 7% of American adults believe that chocolate milk comes from brown cows. –  I know that seven percent doesn’t sound like a lot, but it works out at 16.4 million American adults.  So it’s an alarming fact when you think about it.  This shows that one in ten Americans has a flawed understanding of basic science or where their food comes from.  Next, they’ll claim that bacon grows on trees!

Scout, The Wonder Dog, had to request this morning as soon as he got up.  He said to me, “Dad if my sister Colleen is coming to stay, I need to go to the beauty parlor and make myself handsome.”

“I want to look good for my sister!”

We called made the appointment for 9:00 AM sharp; however, today, I decided that scout would not be driving, I would drive myself, and he would have to sit in the backseat.

Upon returning home, we continued doing chores, and then there was a knock at the door!  Colleen arrived early, meaning we had an extra hour to visit during this trip!

We had lunch and then told Colleen to take a nap while we went to do a meals-on-wheels run to Costa Mesa and then to the at 3:00 PM.

We get tortured there twice a week!

We picked up Colleen on the way back and went to Jan’s for an extended visit.  While we were there, Jan asked about the potato chips that I had ordered.  Well, I had her address wrong, off by one number so the package was delivered across the street.    We took a vote and sent the “porch pirate” over to capture the bounty!  Colleen returned with a large box of chips!

Jan is happy, she got her potato chips!

We were a tad hungry, so Mary suggested baked chicken; we have plenty of chicken since my last visit to the market!  I mentioned that I think the ghost in the chicken coop was a poultrygheist.

Colleen replied with, “Why did the chicken sit on an axe? She wanted to hatchet.”

She does a mean chicken!

The weather has been fantastic, with days in the high 70s and nighttime around 55 degrees.  Spring is here!

The weather was perfect, but we ate inside tonight!

It is lovely having Colleen visiting with us as we three get along so well, and the banter back and forth is non-stop!  We crashed about 8:30 PM.
