Christmas Minus Two!

Unless we make Christmas an occasion to share our blessings, all the snow in Alaska won’t make it ‘white.’

We are so organized it’s sickening.  Everything is carefully laid out on a legal pad and has a time associated with it.  So, that means event one will blow up, sending uncontrollable ripples down the carefully thought-out script, and we may be celebrating Valentine’s Day before it is all over.

Mary and I are so much alike; it’s incredible!

We got Scout a toy that is a small fluffy dog with a bit of electronic device that sounds/feels like a heartbeat and a place to put a microwave-warmed pad in its tunny.  We are anxious to see what Scout thinks of this device.

We walked the yard before the rain came this morning, and everything looked good.  We also got the electrical bid for:

  • replacing the main panel to 200A 60 slot solar-ready panel,
  • adding a 220VAC outlet near the power box so I can use my arc-welder,
  • running 50 amp 220VAC sub-panels to the attic and garage
  • providing electrical plus and lights to the he/she sheds
  • changing the spa cutoff to a GFI/CB
  • running eclectic to the back of the property
  • changing plus to dual duplex instead of single duplex, and
  • half-dozen other electrical things.

Electrician trying to connect loose wires

It was about $10,000, so I will have him proceed.  When we bought the place, I had this in my plans, and I am getting too old to do it myself.  My son and grandson offered, but they have young families and are working hard, so we want them to enjoy their families!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
