What do you call Harry Potter in a plane? The flying sorcerer.
As usual, even on a mini-vacation, we were up at 6:00 AM and packing for the return trip home. We were in the car by 8:30 AM, winging our way via the Interstate-10 towards Los Angeles. The GPS indicated two hours or 121 miles to Long Beach; that is about right.
We got into town early enough that we stopped by to take Scout, The Wonder Dog, out for a walk. Colleen’s plane would be about 30 minutes late, so we had time. We kept in contact with Colleen while awaiting her arrival at the airport, thanks to Apple Car-Play on the Silver Fox.
We got her at 1:00 PM and headed to Rockwell’s for a late lunch. We killed off a bottle of wine, but it took three of us. Colleen and I shared soup and sandwiches, and Mary and I shared a veggie omelet. Hold it that means I had a while lunch; my diet failed again!
Colleen and I were beaten; she went upstairs and crashed while I went to the master bedroom and crashed. Mary messed around in the kitchen, putting the final touches on the pot roast!
It’s 6:00 PM and time to dance! We freshened up and headed to the Tustin Area Senior Citizen Center for two hours of dancing; Colleen was up and danced a couple of times, and she could be good with a bit of practice.
The Smoothies were in great form tonight. Every tune was totally dancable. Mary and I finally mastered the two-step and went around the floor a couple of times.
Colleen caught Mary and I on video!
Collen was tired and so were we so we departed about 9:00 PM.
We crashed as soon as we hit the door. The next few weeks are going to be busy!
