Tuesday And All Went Well

What sound does a turkey’s phone make? Wing wing wing!

Mary was home today, so we will work getting all Halloween put away and bringing out Thanksgiving! But first, we had to make a trip to Los Alamitos!  We had breakfast with Miss Charlotte, my golf buddy.  We met at Old Ranch and spent an hour and a half catching up on things!  She is a lovely lady and a good friend.  We decided that sometime during the holidays we would get together!

There is a lot of truth in this thought!

We departed Old Ranch at 11:00 AM and made it to the doctor by 111:30 AM; he is adjacent to the Long Beach Airport.  Today’s visit was easy; he took out my stitches which was perfect; I liked to have the stitches during Halloween!

We headed home but decided we would stop at a new place for a glass of wine; Aces Bar and Grille!  It used to be called Opus and was Italian.  It was a good visit as we met the owner and asked about dancing and perhaps a “Sinatra Evening” where the music would be mild!

The visit was excellent!

Now it was back to work at Casa Valencia.  Mary took down the Halloween decorations on the holiday tree while I worked on the Halloween website, finishing it off!  Then we both decorated the tree for Thanksgiving.

We are starting to collect devorations!

Our garland was too short, so we wrapped it around the stairway, and I went to Amazon and ordered a new autumn-leafy garland that should be here on Thursday!

The Thanksgiving tree is up!

By 5:00 PM, we were tired and hungry, and we looked at each other and said, “Aves!”.  We returned to Aces and had dinner.  Wow, Mary did the salmon, and I did the steak.  Both meals were fantastic!  I was taken aback by the quality of the food.  They also took directions well; we wanted al dente vegetables, and that’s exactly what we got!

Another great decision was formulated and voted on by the two of us; we visited Jan’s.  We spent a good hour with her talking about dancing and friends and our activities.

We visited Jan to check up on her!

We needed to return home and water Scout The Wonder Dog.  If we are gone too long, he gets upset.  Departing Jan’s home, the sky was pretty, and out came the camera in a flash, no pun intended!

We departed Jan’s a little after sunset!

We crashed upon arriving at home; it was a full day!
